for an amplifier the gain is very high.(eg:for open loop op-
amp the gain is about 20,000) so it is convinent to express
it in decibels to draw the response of thaton a graph paper
rather than linear

for expressing high gain we use instead of linear scale.
i.e. log(a/b) and it's unit in bel or 10log(a/b) and unit in db.
