Kvar of capacitor needed=kw(tanF1-TanF2)
CosF1=present power factor.
Cos f2=power factor to be improved.
TanF1=SinF1/CosF1

power is the product of voltage and current.so we can measure the value of power just by using ammeter and voltmeter.......then why do we use a wattmeter?
