In vortex flometer, it is natural phenomenon that if you
put an obstruction in the path of flow, automatically
vortex are generated. In this case the important point to
be observed is that the number of vortexes generated are
directly proportional to the velocity of the flowing fluid
but the distance between vortex to vortex remain constant,
while we have the formula v=F.lemda..... where the lemda is
defined as the distance between vortexes which is constant.
and velocity is directly proportional to frequency. Where
we can use several types of sensors to detect the vortexes,
such as piezo electric type sensor. when a vortex will hit
to the sensor the pulse is generated and by calculating the
number of pulses we can determine the velocity and then
flow. YOU can physically observe this case... ... but it is
to be needed to go near river and search the place where
the stones are up than water level. sit there and observe
the phenomenon it is better to of that place where the
depth of water is not more than 6 inch and flowing speed is
not much fast...... cisit that place daily and observe that
when the flowing speed is more that day the more vortexes
are generated

1.we can measure the frequency at which the shedder is vibrating by using a piezoelectric sensor.
2.other by finding the velocity of the vortices by using an ultrasonic meter.
3.proximity sensors can also be used.

The raw signal output from sensor (piezo or other types)
used within the vortex flowmeter can be observed on an
oscilloscope.
This signal will be zero frequency at zero flow and
increases as flowrate is increased.

i have used level transmitter in starch cooking preparation tank. tank total height 2mtr.sometime LT display shows some error value when tank is fully empty and diaphragm side i already checked okay no problem in diaphragm area. field cable checked 24volt and mA shows correct value while tank empty mA is 4mA. 4mA i needed that 0% but display showing 10% or 15% percentage values are varying continously please give any good solution for me.....
