You connect it to a vacuum pump with a calibrated absolute
pressure gauge (electronic or mechanical). compare the two
readings. adjust as needed. Normal output is 4-20. 4 being a
perfect vacuum . 20 ma being the upper end of your range .

First connect 24 dc supply to the absolute Pr transmitter
it will show 20 ma as its working against atmospheric pressure i.e. against 760 mm of Hg
after this you apply a vacuum pressure of 760 mm Hg & connect multi meter in series, you will find 4 ma ,In DCS you have to scaling like that 20 mA = 0mm ,& 4 mA = 760MM
I think this is the best procedure

procedure of absolute pressure transmitter:-
power supply:- I/P 24v dc to transmitter
multimitter connect with transmitter in series position
now when transmitter in atmospheric, transmitter o/p is 20ma
when applied 0.8to0.9kg transmitter o/p is 4ma
