NUMBER OF BLOCKS REQUIRED=10 TO 12 NOS.
FOR BLOCK MASONARY WE NEED TO USE RICH CEMENT MORTAR SO THE
PREFERRABLE RATIO FOR CEMENT & SAND IS 1:4
VOLUME OF MORTAR=HORIZONTAL JOINTS
5 ROWS OF 200MM WIDE
20MM THICK MORTAR=5*.2*.02=.02CUBIC METER
VOLUME OF VERTICAL JOINTS=5*2.5*.2*.2*.02=0.01CUBIC METRE
TOTAL=.03+ADD 30% WASTAGE=.039CUBIC METRE OF CEMENT MORTAR
REQUIRED
NOW FOR PROPORTION OF 1:4

WT. OF CEMENT IN 1 SQ.MTR=.039X1X(1/5)X1440=11.232KG/SQ.MTR
