Why distribution transformer secondary voltage is 0.433kV instead of 0.415kV.all other switchgear ..

Answer / k.prakashchandra

Voltage rating does not matter up to 650 V.433V transformers
are used whenever distribution lines are long ,to maintain
minimum reqd voltage at tail end .

Why distribution transformer secondary voltage is 0.433kV instead of 0.415kV.all other switchgear ..

Answer / saravanavadivel

The distance between distribution transformer and switch
gear is slightly more,in that distance voltage drop is
occured
Some times in switch gear we need a single phase supply,
if it is 433 volt means, the phase voltage is 250 volt,in
case of 415 volt ,the phase voltage is 239 volt.
