How can we konw that the HPLC column is endcapped? Is it
possible to identify visually without COA?

The column without endcapping increses silanol activity due
to residual silanols. To know the column is encapped inect
the amytriptyline a basic compound in to the column which
gives the information about peak tailing. If tailing is
more means more silanol activity.

visually not possible unless one can try on the system. but another way is to check in the column literature which is now easily available on net. or can ask the same to column supplier.
