DOES AN EARTH FAULT CURRENT ON THE DELTA SIDE OF A 6.6/33KV
STEP UP STAR-DELTA CONNECTED TRANSFORMER REFLECT ON THE
STAR SIDE? IF YES, THEN HOW AND WHAT IS THE AMOUNT OF
CURRENT REFLECTED?
Answer / k.prakashchandra
There can not be earth fault on delta side as there is no
neutral for earthing and the neutral of the primary gets
isolated .It is customary to have delta -star step up
transformer instead of star-delta.
