why dc series motor has high starting torque

basically torque of dc motor mainly depends on armature
current and flux.for a dc shunt motor ,this flux is nearly
a constant but for dc series motor this flux is mainly
dependent on armature current.so torque of dc series motor
is now dependent on square of armature current. hence it
has a very high starting torque.

In series motor the field and armature winding are in series connection.so when starting what ever the current drawn by the armature winding passes through field winding also.since current flow is not restricted in series circuit.so the amount of flux produced bu field and armature winding will be more enough to produce high torque.(because during starting current drawn by armature winding is high).

Why X'mer rating in kva only?
What are the Formula of computing Back up Time of 500kVA UPS with 4 Battery Banks, each bank composed of 43 pcs of Batteries 12V150Ah. How to compute the Back up Time of UPS? We have also 3X500kVA UPS running in Parallel same composition as I write above.
