Hi.. My Manager is going to initiate L1 for me. My name is
misspelt in my passport, will it effect any where in the
process? It was a typo done by the passport issuers,
Instead of gaYAThri, they typed gaYTAhri. If it is a
problem, what is the immidiate action I need to take now?

Yes, It will definitely be a major problem as US consulate
is very particular about these details. Please contact your
local passport authority and ask them to rectify it. All you
need to fill up a form and submit it.

It actually depends,,, most of the cases while filing a
petition they go according to the name Spelt in the
passport,, but its always advisory to contact the passport
office for a change bcz the spell will be changed in most
ot the other docs like ( Mark Sheets , company records ).

I have a stampled L1B VISA last April(April 2008) but I haven't travelled till date ?What is the last date in 2009 when I have to travel .
After HSC, I did diploma in computer application and technology (full time 2 years consist 4 semeseter) hence i got admission in Bsc[IT] second year then i completed 2nd and 3rd year and have my Bsc[IT] degree. Now I have education like: SSC + HSC + 2 years DIPLOMA + 2 years OF BSC[IT] 10+2+2+2=16 my question is.. am i eligible to file L1-B visa through my company? as per the rules US needs 16 years of education or 15 years education + 3 years of experience. but i dont have that much experience. so please let me know whether my education can be treated as 10+2+2+2=16 YEARS?
Hi, I am working for India Company X, I had applied F1 Visa in the year 2008 and got rejected. In March 2011, my company had applied B1 visa (training)and it was refused again. I am associated continuously with the same company X since Jun 2005. My company had filed L1A individual visa petition which is approved from USCIS recently in the month of Jan 2012. I am planning to schedule my visa interview in the end of Feb or early March 2012. Would there be any issues at the US consulate-Mumbai because of these multiple rejection? Please suggest me what are the chances of getting L1A approval.

Right now I am working in India. I got an offer from a Company in US and they sponsored for my H1b and my petition was selected in the random selection. The Company A has told me to join them only after getting H1b i.e. in Oct'07. Simultaneously, my current company is filing L1B for me. My current company will be sending me to US as and when L1B comes. I don’t want to let go US Company offer which depends on me getting H1b in Oct. My Question is, papers for H1b is filed in Apr'07 by US Company, if papers for L1b will be filed now, what will happen to my L1B and H1B status? can i ahve both stamped?
