what is the diffrence between R Y B phase and why it is called RYB..

Answer / asmita

Voltages of these 3 phases r 120 degrees apart from each
other.i.e there is 120* phase diffrence.they r might given
names from three basic colours Red,yellow & Blue.

what is the diffrence between R Y B phase and why it is called RYB..

Answer / avtar singh

above answer is right but we always see the phaser diagram
of the 3 phases in clockwise direction so we say RYB

what is the diffrence between R Y B phase and why it is called RYB..

Answer / 7anoter4

The phases graphic representation R Y B actually it rotates
clockwise: fisrt is R(Red), second Y[Yellow] -after 120 dgr
=1/3 full wave=1/60/3 sec,and third will be B[Blue] after
another 120 dgr.
Sorry! My mistake. I forgot how the analogic clock hands are
moving. The phases are moving on the trigonometric circle-as
the angle increases- that means anti-clockwise[from right to
left].
