bushing is an insulator which protects the transformer tank
from being connected with live suppy terminals.generally
made of porcelin, having conductor rod through the channel
inside it and also having a current transformer
arrangement.oil is filled between the connecting rod and
inner cylindrical surface of porcelin cylinder. the
porcelin cylinder has a petty coat shape to protect this
unit in rainy days. In a word, bushing is a protecting
insulator which protect the tf from flashing over.
