what is softstarter? explain briefly where it is used?..

Answer / madhu

The purpose of soft starter is to limit the starting
current during HT motors startup, as well as it limits the
voltage drop at motor terminals side.

We have different types of soft starters like FCMA, Auto
Transformer, LCI etc.....
Those soft starters will be in line at the time starting
only i.e. approx. 50-60sec. After that bypass breaker will
come in to the line.
