As a tester how we resolve defect leakage? And how it occures?..

Answer / sunitha.chenna

Defect leakage occurs when the tester misses to identify the defect during the testing phase and are encountered during the later stages is generally referred to as leakage of defects.

Tester should be very careful in identifying the defects in the testing phase while doing functional, regression testing etc..

Root cause analysis will be done to the defects that are found during the production or during the UAT. If the defect exists during the FT builds and is not encountered by the tester, then it is called a DEFECT LEAKAGE.
