You can always look after the arrow mark on the valve ,
bcos in my understand we can find this in any kind of
valve which tell the direction of the flow.

First of all see the flow direction arrow on the control
valve body, if you didnt find,check the orifice name plate
(in which side write d & D and some data) its up stream.its
can help you. (as genral parctice tansmitter should be in
up stream, some time it can very on process demand)
