how will calculate the winding ohmic value in 3phase motors in h.p wise? ex.10 h.p motor winding v..

Answer / vipul suthariya

There is no any particular equation for motor to calculate winding resistance for calculating motor winding resistance open the terminal box of the motor and connect two probe of the multimeter to two different phase of the motor and meter shows the phase to phase windindg resistance.for lower HP motor higher winding resistance and for higher HP motor lower winding resistance and on the basis of that motor no load current depends and no load current should be 30to40 percentage of the full load current.
