supply which one is economical? What is the use of using
increased frequency?

Answer / srikanth
if frequency is increases current decreases(due to inversly
proposational) current deceases area of conductor size is
decreases(directly propsational) size decreases then power
loss consuption will be reduced..

When we increase the level of frequency, level of power
losses will automatically reduce. As we are aware of
transformer emf equation, E=4.44fNAB.
f=frequency,A=area of cross-section,B=magnetic flux density
when we increase the frequency, by having E&B as
constant,area of cross-section will reduce.So,the size of
transformer can be reduced with higher frequency

Answer / c_elavarasi@yahoo.com
frequency is inversely propotional to the reactance,so if
the frequency increases, reactance decreases thereby current
gets increased.so if the resistance is constant, voltage
increases so that the windings cant be able to withstand
the increased voltage and also if the current increases
I^2R losses will increase.
