FIRST FOR PROTECTIONSOF OVER CURRENT, SHORT CKT IN TRANSFORMERS.,
WHEN BALANCED CONDITION THERE WILL BE NO CURRENT FLOW IN NEUTRAL.,,
BUT UNBALANCED CONDITION HOWEVER THE FAULT CURRENTS GO TO NEUTRAL AND HOW THE PROTECTIONS TAKE PLACE?????
ACTUALLY IN NEUTRAL THERE WILL BE NEUTRAL CT CONNECTED WITH EARTH LEAKAGE RELAY.,,
WHEN UNBALANCED CONDITION OCCURS THE CT SENSE THE FAULT CURRENT THAT GOES TO ELR.,, FINALLY THE RELAY TRIP THE MAIN SUPPLY.,,

All electrical machines, house hold equipment is required to
connect with earth (groung)for safety pupose.
When phase will leack to body of electrical machine, throgh
earth only transformer neutral will connect and circuit
will complete and cicuit fuse will blow out(due to draw of
heavy current)and prevent the human from electric shock.

Ground or earth in a mains (AC power) electrical wiring system is a conductor that provides a low-impedance path to the earth to prevent hazardous voltages from appearing on equipment (high voltage spikes).a grounding conductor does not carry current. Grounding is an integral path for home wiring also because it causes circuit breakers to trip more quickly
Neutral is a circuit conductor that normally carries current back to the source. Neutral is usually connected to ground (earth) at the main electrical panel, street drop, or meter, and also at the final step-down transformer of the supply.
