TAKE EXAMPLE OF TRANSFORMER IF THE POWER FACTOR IS LEADING i.e ABOVE UNITY THEN SAY THE CURRENT RATING IS VERY LESS DUE TO THAT I^2*R LOSSES(HEAT GENERATED IS LESS)SO THERE IS SAVING IN CONDUCTORS(COPPER) USED FOR WINDING.THEREFORE THE SIZE OF TRANSFORMER REDUCES.IF THE SIZE REDUCES THEN THERE IS LESS COOLING REQUIRED SO AGAIN LESS LOSS
THERE ARE MANY MORE ADVANTAGES OF HAVING A GOOD POWER FACTOR
