Answer / gulmohammedibrahim
KW is real power which is consumed by machine to give output
Kvar is the reactive power ,this is the power used by electrical machines to set up and maintain magnetic flux on it
now KVA is the resultant power that is vector sum of real power and reactive power
kva=sqrtof(kw*kw)+(Kvar*Kvar)

KW is active power measurement and includes power factor in solving
KVA is reactive power measurement and does not include power factor in its solution
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 9 Yes | 11 No |
Answer / ronit
kw is unit for total power
kva is unit for real power
and unit for reactive power is kvar(VOLT AMPERE REACTIVE)
