when engine is stopped, the pistons may be at varies
positions like TDC, BDC, or in the middle.

it depents upon the size of the flywheel.main thing is
compretion stoke offer more opposition for piston, so the
piston will stop at the starting of compresion stoke or
middle of compretion stroke . if the fly wheel is big,
piston will overcome 1 or 2 compretion stoke also. friction
also matters.

neccessary that it will stop only when it is at TDC or BDC
