Amps depend on what the load is connected. ..Transformer won't deliver current without load. ...so this is not correct question

The question is not clear as to whether you want to reduce
the current on a tr. If it is not an overloaded ct ,you can
employ an ICT of 8:5 ratio

if step down transformer step down the voltage,will current will also be proportional step up. If yes then how transformer handle such a large current?
