The owner of a hobby store needed to calculate the percentage of customers who purchase wood glue. ..

Answer / sonali

the ratio is asked with respect to the number of ppl that
entered the store ie say X
thus it would be ((60X/100)*(15/100))/X=9%

if the ratio was with respect to ppl who purchased some item
ie 60%X then it would be ((60X/100)*(15/100))/(60X/100)=15%

but according to ques it would be 9%

Given the expression N=40+X+Y-Z, where X, Y and Z are variables representing single digits (0 to 9), Alok would like to maximize N while Bhanu would like to minimize it. Towards this end, Alok chooses a single digit number and Bhanu substitutes this for a variable of her choice (X, Y or Z). Alok then chooses the next value and Bhanu, the variable to substitute the value. Finally Alok proposes the value for the remaining variable.
