Mutual fund's return is subject to market risk. Since
performance of a fund depends upon the performance of
market, so as fund's NAV(Net asset value*) fluctuates as
market. Thus choosing of a fund solely depends upon how much
risk you can tolerate. Thus it better to go for hybrid types
of mutual fund and also know as Balanced fund(partly close
and partly open ended scheme).
NAV = Total asset-total liabilities of the fund company/no.
of outstanding units.
