Please dont give the interviewer answer like "i'm expecting
9000 or 8000". First you have to ask them the salary range
established for that position.

EX: " May i know the salary range established for this
position in your organization"

If the interviewer gives you the range you can start
negotiating, if you are not sure about the salary simply
answer "I'm ready to work according to company standards"

Question should be reframed as this is what we are offering as salary for this specific job as according to our company norms, how much are you expecting around of it so that can be negotiated while interviews. If candidates are experienced, they can mention as per their previous salary, pay scale they worked and benefits more than that they are expecting as emoluments, additional allowance etc. ,if they are looking for better salary package and negotiate with market demand to the skillset and other company offers in hand if not.. and so on.
