Question should be reframed as this is what we are offering as salary for this specific job as according to our company norms, how much are you expecting around of it so that can be negotiated while interviews. If candidates are experienced, they can mention as per their previous salary, pay scale they worked and benefits more than that they are expecting as emoluments, additional allowance etc. ,if they are looking for better salary package and negotiate with market demand to the skillset and other company offers in hand if not.. and so on.
