I think when you are not aware of the application, we go
for Exploratory testing and test the application based on
previous experiences.........
Adhoc testing is done when you are running out of time, so
we check the major functionalities randomly....

iam using Adhoc testing for this type of bugs depends upon
past experience iam try to execute the testcase and write
the seviority and proirity of that big.

Actually without knowing the requirements and the
functioaities we dont give any severiority or priority.
But if the situation demands i will follow the below
I will try to understand what the raised bug is.
If it is a major defect i will give high severioty.
For minor defect i will give low severioty.
