Answer / blake_australia
The star point on the secondary site of the transformer
provides an earth return point for earth faults. The

Answer / rabi
In distribution system, required voltage level is mainly
220V which can be obtained with star connected secondary
(415/√3) as there is a provision of neutral. Also the
insulation coast for the secondary will be less the voltage
level is less in secondary.
