Since you have two years of development background you cna go for tecnical testing roles. These roles are called software development engineer in test. typically IBM reasearch labs, google, oracle, and many product firms looking for people with this combination of skill set.
black box functional tester are nowadays seen as useless people in job market and it will be risky to be tester during recession as any slightest cost cutting exercise will result in layoff of tester.
Companies like tech mahindra lay off testers every quarter as they are assumed to be easily replaceable.
