when 2 dissimilar metals join together form 2 ends. one end
is cold junction and another one is hot junction. when hot
junction is heated. in these metals emf(m volts) is induced.
that is called SEEBECK effect

Seebeck effect it comes in thermocouple where 2 dissimilar
metals are joined together to forma a circuit, where
Hotjunction & cold junction called and where emf is induced
and this is found by Seebeck only.

Answer / siddhesh
IF 2 dissimilar metals are joined together to form a closed
circuit ther will be junction where they will meet. if one
junction is heated amount of current will flow.amount of
current flow depends upon difference between 2 junction
temp.

see back effect . two dissimilar metals directly contect
with measuring points . heat priovides with cold
junction.and it provides milli volts hot junction . to
increaze the temparature.
