In a distribution system,having 3phases & 1 nuetral.ecah
phase to neutral is 230V,line-line voltage is 440V,but what
is the voltage of each line.but it should obey the KVL law.

Hi,
Voltage by definition is the potential difference between
two points e.g phase-neutral is 230V and line-line is 440V
according to you. You cannot measure the voltage of a line
alone. If, however, you insist on measuring the voltage of
the line alone your result will be zero. It must be between
the line and something else.

I jst wnt to add something in previous answer. In AC System
all three phases are 120 degrees apart & if u take vector
sum of it u will get 0.Hence it follows KVL.
