Hi everybody,
I am again here to satisfy the curiosities of the
candidates who have been selected through CGL exam, 2006.
Most of the candidates are asking about the
Inspector of Central Excise and Customs and want to know the
salary, nature of duty, promotion aspects etc.
The salary of an Inspector of C.
Excise is 12090 (B.P.)+ 4200 (Grade Pay)+ DA + HRA. For an
example: if he is posted in Delhi, he will get approximately
Rs 22000/- per month.
As concern to nature of duty, An Inspector of Central
Excise can not be compared with the Inspector of Police or
Para military forces. You can imagine the nature of duty
from the fact that a handicapped person is also eligible for
appointment as an Inspector of Central Excise, if he is
recommended for appointment. It is also suitable for female
candidates.
As concern to promotion aspect, it varies Zone to Zone.
You can mail me at me.mohit.kr@gmail.com , if
having queries regarding Inspector of Central Excise and I
am extremely sorry for other candidates coz I don’t know
much about other departments.
