I totally agree with sonu
This year the final cut off(including interview)will not be
more than 400/700 for final selection..........
any information regarding the no. of vacancies for the
SchemeA

I mean, if there are 4500 vacancies in Scheme A alone then
there is a great chance of getting selected. Isnt
it...........
Can you confirm how many vacancies are there for the post
of inspector(Income Tax) and inspector (Central Excise)
plzzzz do reply to this early

I think this year CGl09 will not come,becuse there will a a
major change in exam pattern as per recommended by 2nd ARC
& expert group constituted by DOPT.may be the name of exam
will change......tax asst.was last advertised & lots are
waiting like SO(CA),SO(A),SO(ACC),Matric level,etc.
THere will be no more matric level with qualification
10th,& as per recommended by 2nd ARC,the minimum
qualification should be 12th , is considered & accepted by
DOPT,there will be major reshuffle in the civil services
exam also as the paper has been placed to lok sabha & rajya
sabha.
Secondly, the no.of vaccancy is decreasing, in 2009-10 the
vaccancy cleared by the user department like for
insp.IT= 95
CE=265
Po=29
Examiner=47
CBI=26
whereas no.of apllications will be above 8 lacs.

Hi friends, The exam calender for 2010 has come out and it
is available on SSC HQ website. But I could not find the
tentative date of SO (Audit). Can any body tell me that why
such thing happened.

1. inspector(CE)/PO/Examiner for CGL 2008 about 1400
2. several candidates have sought vacancy position in CGL
2008. tentatively 5234 vacancies in total, and 2834 in Sch B
3. CGL Exam 2008 interviews will be over 0n 12 Feb only.
Result of Scheme A and B will be available only in mid
Mar2010

It means total vaccancies for scheme A will be near
(5234-2834=2400)2400 and there are 1374 candidates for
assisstant and 3954 candidates for inspectors.If we
calculate it results tht candidates for inspectors are 3
times more thn candidates thn assisstants.Hence vaccancies
for inspector might be approx. 1800 and for assistant might
be approx.600. If anyone have some other suggestion on this
comment plz reply.

Inspector ki itni kam vacancies kyon hain jabki Excise
Inspector ki last year bhi 3000 (approx) ki recruitment hui
thi aur iss baar bhi roughly 1400 ki recruitment hai.

Hi friends, CGLE-08 ke total 1374 candidates asstt aur
inspector me karib 3954 hai. par inspector ke 3954 me se
asstt ke karib 1350 candidates jarur common honge. This
means ke karib 4000 candidates maidan me hai.

Hi friends, mere hisab se cgle 08 ka final cut-off 470+
asstt me jabki inspector me 450+ hoga. Pl share ideas. IT
dept me inspector ke vacancies abhi badhne wali nahi hai.
Lakin dusre dept bhai. Mere hisab se asstt in CSS cadre
sabse behtar hai. Isme Delhi se bahar posting nahi hoti
hai jabki inspector me baar baar yahan wahan posting hoti
rahti hai.
