Yaar Prashant and Shyam,

Dont b so hopeless yaar. Well I am a software engineer and I
also have a lot of hopes attached with CGLM 2008. I prepared
the best I could but the paper was very badly organized.
Even I could attempt 15 questions and found almost 12
questions right. But Yaar as I personally think this paper
was the toughest of the previous years and the cutoff should
be low as I am expecting.

Guys, Even I dont have the time bcoz IT industry is very
demanding and time consuming. But still I am trying my best
for a gov job. So friends dont be hopeless and share your
feelings. As we all are here with a target and we will
achieve that.

Yaar Shyam, if you can do R.S.Aggarwal then its best. Else
you can go for Upkar's books for SSC pre or mains as I
studied those books and found that they are good. Well for
reasoning RS Agarwal again is the best but very lengthy.

So make a plan dont try to solve all the questions of all
types. Try to find out what types of questions are asked in
the exam and prepare only for those questions. You can solve
2-3 questions among 10-12 questions that are of same type.
Even the solved questions are quite good. So if you study
only those I think that too can be beneficial.

There was another book by Kiran publications for SSC mains
and that book too was quite good.

dear sham i rajendra singh selected as a cent exc insp and
as per my expe u should prefere kiran publication ki
descriptive maths book and solve all its questions as per
the easiest method u like actually r s agrwal book contains
question objective pattern and so many questions are there
u should take all questins from kiran desc math and make ur
diary or notebook question solved by u by the easiest
mathod as u like acutally the question given in kiran are
very nice but the solve mehtods are tough and there is
different different methods given for the same type
question i also did the same made my diary taken all
questions from kiran and solved methods i myself serched in
r s agrawal book that diary will be helpful to all ssc
conventional math papers and all exams and the person
trying to prepare for tax asstt and s.o. etc should
remember there is very tough comptin in tax and s.o.
because goes very high and a person by that hard work can
easily qualify combined gradut level due to huge number of
vacancies every year my friend who not given cglm2008 not
taken correct decision this year i also appeared in cglm
mains2008 but given only math and english and left next day
paper as the final result of cglm2006 declared and i got my
name there so i left one seat for my future friend or
colleague as per my calculation math paper of2008 was very
tough and nobdy gets correct answer more than 12 to 13
question so cutoff will be very low so no need to worry and
english paper was very nice except sentence making so all
my friends try ur best definately u all r going to select
if u are at normal level in mains2008

Hi,ajay,rajendra & all those who have given cglm 2008
i have answered only 11 questions out of which about 9 is
correct.I also found it most difficult ,the arithmetic paper
of tax.asst.is somehow like cglm this time.
i will get more than 75% in eng,about 110 in GS, 60% in
comp,& more than 135+ in c.skill.
could any one of you tell after obtaining the above marks
if i get about 70-80 in maths whether i wll be called up
for interview or not?? Is there any separate qualifying
marks for maths paper after evaluation of paper-1 i.e
english???
Ajay,in the last year what you think how much you have got
in arithmetic??? & what is the reason behind your non-
selection??? i mean in which paper do you think you have
not done well???
Rajendra,i appreciate you for taking such bold decisions
reg..cglm 2008. pls.tell how much do you think you have got
in arithmetic in 2006 & in all the papers as now you have
been selected,if you will share your feelings as a
sucessful candidate, it will help all the aspiring
candidates like all of us for analysing in a better way for
the forthcoming days.

general category ka cut off iss bar 423 gaya hai actually
it depends on no of vacancies in 2005 final selected
candidate in general cat got 453 marks on that time 1000
posts of IT inspt was there and total 1700-1800 so final
cutoff was 453/700 and 2006 main total 3400 vacancies so
cutoff went down upto 423 out of 700 marks so koi ek paper
kharab hone ka matlab ye nahi ki final select nahi ho sakte
agar tumhare other paper thik hai to interview main easily
70 marks milenge to chinta mat karo par taiyari tabhi band
karna jab kahi final ho jaye tab tak lagatar taiyari and
exam dete raho.iss bar math paper bahut hi tough tha aur
max logo ke 11-12 se jyada sahi answer aaya hi nahi mai iss
liye kaha sakta hu kyonki mera maths bahut hi strong hai
aur lagatar ssc ke exams main math 90-95%tak banate aaya hu
par cglm08 ne mera bhi dimag ghuma diya so dont worry cut
off bahut low jane wala hai iss bar kyonki math hi max logo
ka positive point hota hai aur total cutoff bhi issi ki
vajah se high jata hai aur iss bar yahi paper toughest hai
so total cutoff bhi girega

According to the estimate of cglm 2006 someone told me that
there are about 4500 vaccancy in cgle 2008.Is the
information correct??

Hi friends, Iam in dilemmma for a long time.Please guide
me.Iam selected for the post of compiler, tax assistant and
auditor as well as Iam sure about being selected for data
entry operator.Now Iam unable to decide to which post I
should consider.My rank in ssc graduate level 2006 scheme B
is 68.Do anyone of you know that how many post were there
in scheme B separately for divisional accountant, auditors
and udc,s.Can we leave a government job of similar pay
scale for other similar pay scale job.Pls reply as early as
possible.

hi ajay sabdip and ajay and mr kol my rank is 1596 out of
3400 approx ajay tumne apne math paper main signature kiye
hai invigilator wo confirm karke hi sign karta hai aur
tumko psychologicaly ais lag raha hai wo copy last main bhi
check hoti hai i have seen aur w/o signature invigilator
can not sign and its a just a psychological prob ok forget
this point i m sure dont worry.and mr kol dont worry math
paper was very tough and cutoff will be very low near about
07-08 question out of 20 so dont worry and the number of
vacancies will may be changed and i also listened these are
too high; in 2008 exa,so dont worry u r going to select
this time math paper will not be the magic paper ok
