In energy meter there r 2 CT's are used. One for recording
current through incoming phase & other through outgoing
phase .When the load is ON on outgoing side the current
flowing through both CT's is compared by electronic
circuit. An wattmeter is calibrated as per standards which
measures wattage proportional to current.

in energy meter there is 1 ct for measuring the outgoing
current and other is pt for pressuresed the disk to
rotatiing movement.

Answer / manish
yes , for single phase energy contains the one ct for that
refeance they give out result of current and one pt is
contacted accros to supply so it give out result of volts
and product of curent and volt is watt.
