transducer is a device which gives initially 4mA when
auxiliary supply is given and depending upon the input it
varies from 4mA to 20mA. usually this will be sent to
remote like DCS .
i have seen voltage transducer and current transducers
practically with this design

Transducer is a device from one form to another
form. For example in pressure transmiter it converts
220v to (4-20mA), but in level transmiter it converts
certain height to current(mA).
