Answer / sandip

In Dc supply we just divide by voltage and in AC supply we
divide with voltage and Power Factor depending upon non-
linear load

if we convert kw into Ampers,which one formula use by us,pls tell me?..

Answer / sameer

First covert kw to kVa kva = Kw / PF(0.8)
Rated full load current in A = (Total connected load in
kva / sq.rt * 3 x Supply Voltage) x 1000

if we convert kw into Ampers,which one formula use by us,pls tell me?..

Answer / jaimin

FOR 3 PHASE CKT
KW=ROOT(3)*V*A POWER FACTOR
A=KW/(ROOT(3)*V*POWER FACTOR)
FOR SINGLE PHASE CKT.
KW=V*A*POWER FACTOR
A=KW/V*POWER FACTOR

Is This Answer Correct ?    4 Yes 0 No

Answer / bala.a

two method we are using

1. KW/ ROOT 3 X P.F X ( applied voltage/ 1000 )

2.(KW X 1000) /ROOT 3 X P.F X applied voltage

if we convert kw into Ampers,which one formula use by us,pls tell me?..

Answer / harish

KW is always a real quantity and hence we do not
require any power factor term...simply divide he given kw
by the voltage and you get the required amperes...

if we convert kw into Ampers,which one formula use by us,pls tell me?..

Answer / riyadh

we know load watts , u apply below formula for 3 phase &
single phase

3 phase I = Total load in watts/3*220V
1 phase I = Total load in watts/220V

Is This Answer Correct ?    3 Yes 11 No
