why is BPSK better than BFSK in presence of noise

Answer / utsav_ju
actually the bandwith required for transn of signal using
BPSK is less than for BFSK.if we r planning to transmit a
digital data of say frequency f then the bandwith required
in BPSK is 2F while that in BFSK is 4f

Answer / srajan tiwari
in bpsk the information is stored in the phase variations of the transmitted signal, and in bfsk , the info is stored in the freq variations., noise can affect the freq of signal but not the phase easily....so psk is better...........

We have two types of fadng
1)frequency slective fading
2)flat fading
The noise will also occupy some frequency it may damage
the signal flately or frequency slectively. But in PSK
there is very less chance in the changing of phase f the
signal.
Hence for noisy channel PSK is better than FSK

Answer / parth gupta
Although, it is observed through simulations that BPSK system
gives better bit error performance as compared to BFSK systems. But BFSK proves better in adjacent channel
interference conditions. Also mathematical derivations prove that BFSK approaches MSK (Minimum Shift
Keying) and MSK is the most suitable digital modulation scheme for power limited systems.

We know in bpsk the variation in signal change the phase of modulated signal and so the error and noise produced is low because of my practical result and in bfsk change in frequency is so rapidly and continuous and so resultant wave produced is more distorted.
