What is eddy current?..

Answer / ran145

currents induced in conductors to oppose the change in flux
that generated them.
It is caused when a conductor is exposed to a changing
magnetic field due to relative motion of the field source
and conductor; or due to variations of the field with time

What is eddy current?..

Answer / anjita maheshwari

it is a type of loss current.
when a metal is exposed in a changing magnetic field , there
is a change in flux related to metal and according to lenz's
law a current opposing to change in magnetic field will flow
in the conductor. This current is called eddy current.

What is eddy current?..

Answer / sacchidanand teke

*Eddy currents also called Foucault currents
Meance that electric currents induced within conductors
by a changing magnetic field in the conductor.
THEORY:--Eddy Currents are closed loops of induced current
circulating in planes perpendicular to the
magnetic flux. They normally travel parallel to the coil's
winding and the flow is limited to the
area of the inducing magnetic field.
