Is Alpha test and Beta test a pre-delivery or post-delivery
activity?

Alpha testing is pre-delivery as it tested on the developers
side. Beta testing can be post-delivery as it is done on
client side.

both alpha and beta are pre-delivery testing techniques. no
doubt in beta testing the software is tested at client side
but only after the beta testing is through without any
concerns, the software is delivered to the client.
This is as per my understanding. correct me if wrong

According to me, Alpha test is definitely a pre-delivery
activitity. Beta can be pre or post? Correct me, if I am
wrong?

both are predelivery activity.both r done by end users.
alpha testing is done when development is nearing completion
inorder to hav any minor design changes.
Beta testing is done after development and testing is
completed inorder to check bugs before final release.

Both Alpha&Beta are done before pre release because to get
the Confidence on application by testing in Business
prespective.
Major diffence between tham are
Alpha:Done at Development site's including "Developers,QA
Members" and Stakeholders"
Beta:Done at their own environment,nothing but their own
sites to get the confidence on application and prooves it's
