you can use fluke milliampre simulator tocalibrate a
controlvalve through i/p converter, ot by using a druck
pressure calibrator directly to the controlvalve positioner.

CONTROL VALVE HAVE MOSTLY 3 PART BODY,BONNET AND
ACTUTOR,CONTROL VALVE REQUIRED AIR SUPPLY 20 PSI OR 140KPA
AND SIGNAL 4TO20MA AND TOOLS AND STANDURD P.G OR DRUCK. SO
FINNALY WE USE ENOMET SOURSE, DRUCK, OR REGULATOR AND AIR
SUPPLY REQUIRED

First ensure both I/P and positioner air supply are as
it should be before starting up control valve
calibration/stroke checking activity. Then take any of loop
or multifunction calibrator based on the instrument
availability in your plant for Ex 707Ex, UPS-III-IS, UPS-
II, UPS-IS, DPI610 IS (connect series with 24 VDC supply),
UNOMAT and 725Ex
And select “mA source with 24V DC” option and connect 4-
20mA source to I/P converter and simulate appropriate mA to
check the stroke. Normally control valve stoke checking is
called as control valve calibration.

Answer / ali faozy
if the control valve has i/p &postioner we need [ 4 to 20 ]
milliamper dc source , 140 kpa air supply for i/p and 700
kpa for positioner [depending on positioner supply
recommendation]
we need also to calibrate the strock indicator for fully
open and fully close positions
if the control valve has no i/p & positioner then we need
air signal source of [20 to 100]kpa depens on control valve
design
and 700 kpa air supply for valve supply
