In Cognos Connection Go to Toold>Content
Administration.There on the Top right Corner you can find
option called NEW EXPORT ,NEW IMPORT next to Create JOB
option.
1)Click on the New EXPORT if you want to export.
2)Provide name for Export.
3)Select Option "Select Public Folders and Directory
Content"
4)Select the require Package and make sure that
option "Disable after Import "at the end of the
corresponding package is not checked.
5)Follow messages and if required check required
options .Else click next in each window.
6)Finally click Run NOW.
7)Then the package will be exported and will get saved in
the APP Server inj the location
Drive(Where cognos is installed)>Program
files>Cognos>C8>DEployment folder with the same name
provided by you.

Import: Import package from File goes into Datasource.

Yes, this is the process. But prior to this, we need to
make sure that projects/files that need to be exported
should be saved in deployment sub folder of the cognos
crn/c8 folder.

Hi All, Is there any way to check whether a value is selected in a Multi-select tree prompt? I have a tree prompt and want to get to know whetehr which values user has selected,i want to so that values on the top of the report. I Have used that paramDisplayValue('paramername'),But it will display only last selected value. For Example i have tree prompt with one level Region- >country->states If user select region Asia it will dislay the all the Countries in that region and then if user select India it will display the states related to india only Suppose Hierachy look like this: Asia->India->Andhra Pradesh. I want to show this hierachy on the top of the report How it is possible? Can you please help me?
