As a tester I found a show stopper(critical defect) this
evening whereas the project is going to be delivered to the
client tomorrow morning so there is no time left.I reported
the same to my test manager but he is not ready to
convinced with me moreover he wants to close the matter as
it is....in this senario wat will u do???

Make sure that its a really a bug..
Check the severity and priority of the bug.
Based on this if required get the bug fixed by the
respective devloper as and when its reported.
If it cannot be fixed immediately(due to complexity or any
other issue),inform the same to your TM.You have done your
best here.
But if its fixed, perform retesting and regression testing
(if required).Then release it.

In this senario what you can do is make a bug report and
write the procedure to reproduce the bug clearly.
'the test manager is not convinced' means you have'nt able
to reproduce the same bug to convince him.
Here what you can do is report the bug and make sure the
bug is fixed in the next release, since the delivery is
sheduled and the test manager dose'nt want to make a delay
there is nothing else you can do.

first is i'll add defect to defect tracking sheet
if the defect has severe impact on the basic businness task
then
i will try to explain the tm the impact of the bug on the
busiiness how it will effect the organiztion
and it is up to the mgmt to decide togo or no go
