When a bottle full of honey was weighed, its weight was 1
kilogram. When the bottle was weighed with half the honey,
its weight was 600 grams. What is the weight of the bottle?

let weight of honey=y
x+y=1000gm
x+y/2=600
solving 2x+y=1200
x+y=1000
subtracting x=200grams
weight of bottle =200grams

Weight of bottle + weight of full honey = 1 Kg
= 1000g
Weight of bottle + weight of half honey = 600g
Hence, It is clear that
Weight of half of the honey = 1000 - 600
= 400g
Weight of full honey = 400+400 = 800g
Therefore, Weight of bottle = 1000 - 800 = 200g
