I THINK U R NOT A TESTER....... SO U ASK THE QUESTION LIKE
THIS...
IN SDLC(SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE) U HAVE
analysis--->design --->coding --->TESTING-->maintainance
THE DEVELOP TEAM IS THE BACK BONE OF THE PROJECT..... BUT
THERE R DIFFERENT BUISNESS LOGIC WHICH IS DEVELOPED BY
DIFFERENT DEVELOPERS... SO ALL THE CODES WHICH R DEVELOPED
BY THE DEVELOPER MAY BE RIGHT ACCORDING TO HIS POINT OF
VIEW...
BUT THE MAINQUESTION IS HOW THE IS CODE OPTIMIZED......
THE DEVELOPER PROCEEDS WITH HIS OWN IDEA... AND HE DOESNT
SEE TO HOW IT IS OPTIMIZED,....
THIS THING REFERS TO THE TERM QUALITY OR STANDARD OF CODE...
THE TESTING TEAM DOES THESE KINDS OF THINGS FOR A PROJECT
IN A COMPANY... WHERE THE STANDARDS AND THE QUALITY ASPECTS
R MAINTAINED AND WITH WHICH AN COMPANY CAN SURVIVE IN THE
MARKET....
AND THATS THE TESTER OR TESTING TEAM FOR U.......

I am agree with N.ragav(persuing Tester)that the person who
Questioned is not a tester and don’t know why testing
actually happens in SDLC.
According to me, Testing is a interesting and challenging
job. A tester always think that the application given for
testing has lots and lots error in it.
Testing software means measure the quality of developed
application. This includes, but is not limited to, the
process of executing a program or application with the
intent of finding errors.Quality is not an absolute; it is
value to some person. With that in mind, testing can never
completely establish the correctness of application. we
also test the capability, reliability, efficiency,
portability, maintainability, compatibility, and usability.
At the end developer cant be a tester because nobody in
this world can critics his own developed application

2. It is difficult to find our own mistakes
3. Devlopers will not take lot of time for testing. They
will spend more time for coding rather than testing
4.If he/she mistaken the requirement specification , than
unable to test it.
