emf will be induced in a conductor only if there is a
relative motion b/w magnetic flux and the conductor.. when
ac supply is given to the armature of an induction motor a
rotating magnetic field is created(at synchronous
speed).now an emf is induced in the rotor winding and it
starts rotating. the direction of rotation is same as that
of rotating magnetic field but speed less than than syn
speed.. ie the relative speed b/w the rotor conductor n
rotating magnetic field is the difference b/w rotor speed
and syn speed ie slip. emf induced in the rotor and hence
the rotor current depends on the relative speed or slip.
that is how the rotor current becomes proportional to slip

If the slip is more ,more voltage is induced in rotor ,hence
more current.Actually ,slip is proportional to current which
can be increased or decreased and not the slip.

Hey! The above answer is absolately Corrected, I have also
given 4 Rank.
But you must know about Relavite speed.
Here
Relative speed is a speed which is compare with other speed
for example.
Suppose,
You are running OPPSITED to Bus.
Your Speed 15meter/1min and Bus speed is 45meter/1min
what is Relative speed?
35meter/1meter is RELATIVE speed
AND if yor are runnig a side which bus are running so your
direction and bus direction are same.
and your speed 10meter/1min.
Bus speed is 20meter/min
so RELATIVE SPEED IS 30METER/MIN.
IT is very importants in this topics

i am confused about generator. i have generator of 380 KVA that is 304 KW by that formula KW=KVA*0.8... then by this formula I=KW/V*1.732*0.8 the amperes are 528.673. so that is the load which i put on one phase of generator or this is total 3 phase load on Generator.......
