Earth fault means phase short to ground,earth leakage means
a machine leakage some volt due to induction & eaddy
curent,or insulation is low class.

Earth Fault means single line to ground fault or double
line to ground fault.Earth leakage means a equipent or
conducting matrial induce some voltage due to
electromagnetic induction.These type of equipment should be
grounded.
