simply in message box only OK button is there you dont have
any other option
in dialog box user have a choice to select any thing
suppose
in word doc when we click on Open open dialog box will
appear

to delete the items, or "Cancel," to prevent the items from
being removed.

Dialog Box

A movable window that is displayed on screen in response to
the user selecting a menu option. It provides the current
status and available options for a particular feature in the
program. Dialog boxes are typically small, but depending on
the amount of information that must be conveyed, they can
sometimes be large.
Example:- Changing font in the notepad.

Messsage Box is just for displaying a message on a particular event.
e.g: In online examination system, while giving the exam time is elapsed. It display the message.

Dailog Box is for taking the user choice on a particular event.
e.g: While deleting any record from the list. It display the dailog box with 'OK' & 'Cancel' Button for deleting the record.

A dialog box is a window that contains one or more controls. An application uses
a dialog box to prompt the user for input needed to complete a command. For
example, an application that includes a command to open a file would display a
dialog box that includes controls in which the user specifies a path and file name.

buttons, or scroll bars.

A message box is a special dialog box that displays a note, caution, or warning to the

has encountered while performing a task.
