The company has software running in its production
environment that was designed and tested on its quad-
processor servers with 16 GB of RAM. In order to meet
budget constraints, its disaster recovery plan calls for
this same software to be installed on functionally
identical servers, which are dual-processor with 12 GB of
RAM. The test group has been tasked with confirming that
the software is going to work on the hardware proposed in
the disaster recovery plan.

1. Compatable Testing: Whether the previously tested
software can run on the Dual-core processor with 12 GB of
RAM.
2. Stress Testing: Basing upon the Stress Levels of the
application, which were confirmed with Quad-processor
server with 16 GB of RAM, we have to test the same levels.

Well i think QA persons will be involved in migration
testing, configuration testing and stress testing types.

what comes first test strategy or test plan
When a project was started in an organisation ,Testing team will get BRS & FRS documents and starts preparing the Test cases for the application.when the Build was released whether the Testing team will execute only the written Test cases (or) they may update further testcases
