walked for about 250 miles to arrive in Dandi 26 days later,
on April 6

Gandiji started the Dandi March on March 12,1930 by leaving
from Sabarmati Ashram at Ahemadabad and travelled towards
Dandi, a village on the west-coast of India,alongwith
Sarojini Naidu and 78 Ashram members.After travelling for
25days and covering a distance of about 385Kms,tje group
reached Dandi on April6,1930.
